Admission criteria
We apply the following criteria:
- The student has a language level equal to or with a maximum of two years language delay compared to peers in the Netherlands and Flanders (one year for collège and lycée).
- The student has the potential to reach the 4F reference level at the end of their school trajectory.
- The student has a rich Dutch language offering in the family.
- The student is suitable for bilingual education (based on the information in the school reports, supplemented with a Dutch and/or French test).
- The student has above-average motivation and work ethic to follow bilingual education and the parents are closely involved in their child's school career.
- The student has a travel time of maximum 30 minutes to school (only for primary school students).
Deviation from these criteria is only possible based on an individualized trajectory with annual evaluation.
More than half of our new students don't speak French upon arrival. Thanks to Français Spécial, they become fluent within a year.
Tuition fees
The Dutch Section is an association that is co-financed by parents. There is an annual contribution for Dutch mother tongue and cultural education. Exact amounts are communicated during the introductory meeting. In exceptional cases, financial support options are available. French education is public and funded by the French government.
